Entry-Level Vehicle Powertrain Integration Engineer

International Motors LLC is looking for a full-time employee to join the Vehicle Powertrain Integration team. The group is responsible for vehicle properties such as performance, powertrain energy management, and fuel economy / range for both Internal Combustion and Battery Electric vehicles from simulation, testing, validation, issue resolution, and sign off as well as post-production activities utilizing over-the-air operational data for both International trucks and IC bus. You will be part of a very dynamic and engaged organization with deep contributions to innovation, technology, and sustainable mobility as well as global networking within TRATON GROUP organization.

Responsibilities:

• Be the channel of powertrain performance, energy and fuel economy / range big data processing efficiency initiatives within Vehicle Powertrain Integration organization.
• Develop and integrate large database sources to streamline processing, expedite data automation tool development, and increase throughput of studies around powertrain vehicle properties.
• Manage, improve and develop dashboards for the key powertrain properties using both internal testing and over-the-air operational data from cloud services.
• Support data mining initiatives including drive cycles identification, driver behavior, features usage, customer support, et al.
• Support development and integration of operational data sources with simulation tools.
• Be the go-to person in the organization for cloud accounts management with IT to maintain consistent operation of the tools in use.
• Present projects progress in different forums including those with senior leadership.
• Be engaged with wider R&D data engineers and scientists’ community for further integration and technology exchange.
• Identify gaps in current flows and systems and take initiative to continuously improve.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science

Additional Requirements:

• Basic Understanding of powertrain systems, truck applications and associated product requirements
• Excellent oral, written, and communication skills

• Ability to communicate effective teams of different technical backgrounds (Engineering, IT, Data Science)
• High level of computer literacy – Office suite, computer networking, and processing software
• Knowledge in data processing systems and scripts development (i.e., MatLab Simulink, PowerBI)
• Knowledge of Cloud based data systems (i.e., Azure, Data Bricks)
• Knowledge of programming (i.e., Python, Java, C++) and data-interchange systems (i.e., Json)
• Familiarity with data acquisition tools (i.e., ETAS, Canalyzer) and CAN networks is a plus
