Pay Rate: $18.00-$20.00/hr

TradeSTAR Austin is hiring Entry-Level Voice & Data Technicians!
Looking for an opportunity to learn a skilled trade and build a career in the telecommunications and technology industry? No previous low-voltage or cabling experience is required! TradeSTAR is partnering with well-established companies in the industry to connect motivated individuals with opportunities to learn, develop technical skills, and gain hands-on experience.

As an Entry-Level Voice & Data Technician, you will have the opportunity to work on commercial construction projects throughout the Austin area while learning how to install and support voice, data, and structured cabling systems.
What You Will Learn:

Installing and routing voice and data cabling throughout commercial buildings
Working with CAT5e, CAT6, and other structured cabling systems
Installing J-hooks, cable trays, and cable support systems
Installing workstation outlets and data jacks
Assisting with cable termination at patch panels and network racks
Labeling, organizing, and identifying cables
Learning basic cable testing and troubleshooting
Reading construction plans and identifying cable pathways
Proper use of hand tools, ladders, and jobsite equipment
Following commercial construction and jobsite safety procedures

Have previous construction, warehouse, electrical, or general labor experience (a plus, but not required).

NO PREVIOUS LOW-VOLTAGE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TRAINING PROVIDED!
