Summary

We are seeking a Lead Manager, Environmental Engineer to lead environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives at a large manufacturing facility. This individual will serve as the environmental subject matter expert, partnering with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to ensure regulatory compliance, mitigate risk, and support key capital and operational projects.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead environmental compliance programs across air, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous waste, groundwater, and spill prevention.
• Support operational and capital projects by providing environmental guidance and risk mitigation strategies.
• Manage permitting, regulatory reporting, inspections, and agency interactions.
• Partner cross-functionally to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Advance sustainability and waste reduction efforts across the facility.
• Deliver environmental training and communicate compliance status and recommendations to leadership.

Education, Skills, and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of environmental compliance experience within manufacturing, industrial, consulting, or related environments.
• Experience with environmental regulations, permitting, inspections, and compliance reporting.
• Knowledge of air quality, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous waste, groundwater, or spill prevention programs.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional certifications such as PE, CHMM, or advanced environmental credentials are a plus.
