Performs engineering project work within area of assigned responsibility under the direction of a Senior Engineer or Principal. Works collaboratively with project leadership and the client to support solutions in all interactions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Assists with and performs site investigations
Evaluates surface and/or subsurface conditions and contributes to recommendations
Supports planning and implementation of engineering programs including project activities and milestones
Assists in developing and maintaining project schedules and budgets
Provides updates on project milestone status and flags scheduling concerns
Monitors expenditures and reports variances against project budget
Assists in coordinating preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, and proposals
Supports project personnel assigned to specific phases such as technical studies, design, specifications, and testing
Reviews work product for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and contract requirements
Interfaces with clients under supervision to provide project status updates
Prepares status and progress reports for project team and management
Assists in scheduling research and field activities in accordance with project timetables
Performs and documents interim analysis of field and lab data for safety and project monitoring purposes
Supports development of research plans and assists in outlining procedures
Assists in establishing design parameters in coordination with the project team and client
Prepares draft proposal estimates of time and expenses required to complete project scope
Works toward PE licensure; may support sealed document preparation under a licensed PE
Participates in company initiatives and supports junior staff development as experience grows

-Reinforces business relationships with existing clients and develops new relationships with future clients
-Identifies the potential for new projects and seeks opportunities to promote the company"s services on an ongoing basis
-Involved in the sale of company services and secures new business
-Travels 10% of the time which may be out of state
-Supervisory Responsibilities

Salary Range: $150,000-$205,000 depending on experience



Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree preferred; 3-5 years of experience with 2 years of project management experience preferred; previous construction experience a plus
Certifications & Licensure: 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification preferred; Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or working toward PE licensure preferred; valid Driver's License with reliable transportation to job sites
Technical Skills: Familiarity with computer design software (Quake, WEAP, L-Pile, Finite Element Analysis, etc.); working knowledge of AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, NitroPro, MS Word, Excel, Adobe; ability to apply mathematical concepts including geometry, trigonometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
Physical Requirements: Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb, and lift under 50 lbs; specific vision abilities required including close, distance, and adjustable focus; noise level typically low to moderate
