LaBella is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to join our growing, multi-disciplinary Brooklyn, NY office. LaBella is a 100% employee-owned firm with more than 2,000 professionals in 40+ offices across 14 states, with additional international offices in the U.K. and Spain. Our Brooklyn office offers the best of both worlds: the visibility, flexibility, and entrepreneurial feel of a boutique consulting practice, backed by the resources, technical depth, and long-term career opportunities of a larger firm.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated environmental professional who is ready to take ownership of projects, clients, and staff development while helping grow a dynamic New York City practice. The successful candidate will manage environmental due diligence, investigation, and remediation projects, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, NYC E-Designation projects, NYS Brownfield Cleanup Program projects, spill sites, and other complex urban redevelopment assignments throughout the five boroughs and the NYC metropolitan area.
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing project scope, schedule, budget, staffing, technical deliverables, regulatory coordination, and client communication. The role will include preparing and reviewing work plans, proposals, investigation reports, remedial action plans, and regulatory submittals; coordinating field teams, contractors, drillers, laboratories, and technical specialists; evaluating environmental data; and helping guide projects from due diligence through investigation, remediation, and closure.
We are looking for someone who combines strong technical judgment with practical project management skills, clear communication, and a collaborative approach. The ideal candidate will enjoy mentoring junior staff, working directly with clients and regulatory agencies, solving problems in real time, and contributing to the continued growth of LaBella’s Brooklyn environmental practice.
For the right person, this role offers significant upside: meaningful project responsibility, direct access to senior leadership, opportunities to help shape a growing office, and a path toward expanded client management, business development, and leadership within an employee-owned company.
LaBella offers excellent training, mentorship, career advancement opportunities, employee ownership, and outstanding benefits. This is a strong opportunity for a smart, driven, and technically capable environmental professional who wants to build a long-term career in New York City environmental consulting.
