Environmental Science Intern

Our client, an environmental consulting company, is seeking an Environmental Science Intern to support project teams in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. The internship provides practical experience in site assessment, environmental data collection, and regulatory documentation.

The intern will work alongside scientists and engineers on projects involving soil and water sampling, stormwater compliance, and wetland delineation. Time will be split between fieldwork at sites across Bucks and Montgomery Counties and office-based data analysis and report preparation.

This is a paid, hybrid internship intended for students or recent graduates pursuing a career in environmental science, with the option to be considered for a full-time role after completion.

Responsibilities

• Assist with soil, groundwater, and surface water sample collection in the field
• Enter and verify field and laboratory data in project databases
• Support preparation of Phase I environmental site assessment reports
• Help document stormwater and erosion control inspections
• Conduct background research on regulations and site histories
• Create maps and figures using GIS software under staff supervision
• Maintain field equipment and sampling supplies
• Attend project meetings and take notes on action items

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in environmental science, geology, biology, or a related field
• Coursework in hydrology, soil science, or environmental regulations
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Familiarity with GIS software such as ArcGIS or QGIS is a plus
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and lift up to 40 pounds
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Availability of at least 20 hours per week
