Domain: Enterprise Finance — Oracle EPM (FP&A / Planning)
ROLE SUMMARY
Administers and maintains the Oracle EPM platform that powers FP&A — planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Keeps the applications stable, secure, and accurate, and partners with finance teams to translate planning needs into well-governed EPM configurations.
WHAT THE CANDIDATE WILL DO
• Administer Oracle EPM Cloud applications (Planning / PBCS/EPBCS, FCCS, ARCS) — day-to-day operations, maintenance, and upkeep.
• Manage metadata, dimensions, and the Chart of Accounts / planning hierarchies; control changes through proper governance.
• Build and maintain forms, business rules (Groovy/Calc), task lists, dashboards, and financial reports.
• Own data integration — Data Management / EPM Integration Agent loads, mappings, and reconciliation with source systems (GL / Oracle Fusion ERP).
• Administer security, user provisioning, and access roles; support monthly close, planning, and forecast cycles.
• Manage monthly patch cycles, environment refreshes, backups, and issue resolution.
• Partner with FP&A analysts to improve models, automate manual steps, and keep reporting accurate.
MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE
• Hands-on Oracle EPM administration experience (Planning/EPBCS at minimum; FCCS/ARCS a strong plus).
• Strong grasp of FP&A processes — budgeting, forecasting, planning cycles, and management reporting.
• Metadata and dimension management, including Chart of Accounts and reporting hierarchies.
• Business-rule development (Groovy / calculation scripts) and form/dashboard build.
• Data integration experience (Data Management / EPM Integration Agent) with ERP/GL sources.
• Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion ERP / GL as the upstream source for EPM.
GOOD TO HAVE
• Exposure to Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and EBS-to-Fusion migration context.
• Smart View, Financial Reporting / Narrative Reporting, and EPM Automate scripting.
• Experience supporting SOX controls and audit requirements within EPM.
SCREENING SIGNALS (FOR RECRUITERS)
• Can describe an EPM application they administer today — modules, user base, and cadence (close/forecast cycles).
• Can explain a metadata or Chart of Accounts change they governed end-to-end.
• Hands-on with business rules and data integration — not just functional/reporting use.
• Comfortable supporting FP&A analysts directly during planning and close.
