Job Description:

Description

Skyworks is seeking an Equipment Engineer (Thin Films) to join our team in Richardson, TX to provide engineering support of equipment used in the manufacturing and development of advanced technology products.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide engineering support of equipment used in the manufacturing and development of Skyworks advanced technology products.
• Improve equipment availability and reduce cycle time, costs and yield loss through data driven equipment hardware and process performance improvements.
• Upgrade and re-engineer equipment to improve equipment performance.
• Define and improve detailed preventive maintenance procedures and schedules.
• Coordinate machine installations to support factory capacity expansions.
• Present and communicate data analysis and improvement actions to FAB management and equipment technicians.
• Assist in resolving complex corrective maintenance tasks and documents lessons learned to improve technician skills.
• Lead cross functional continuous improvement teams to implement solutions that address the root cause of problem areas.
• Must be able to work and manage several projects in parallel and execute to commitments.

Required Experience and Skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• More than 3 years of relevant experience
• Strong technical capability, including knowledge of pneumatics, robotics, electronics, and semiconductor processes
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Demonstrated problem solving ability
• Knowledge and application of SPC in the manufacturing environment

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Ion Mill and/orTrim experience on Veeco or Scia equipment
• E-Beam Evaporation experience on Temescal or Evatec equipment
• Rapid Thermal Anneal Experience

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $74,000 - $147,200 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock. These incentives and awards are based on individual and/or company performance.
