Equipment Maintenance Manager, Amazon Leo

We"re looking for a Maintenance Manager with a proven track record of delivering equipment uptime, reliability, and excellent maintenance execution in a high-tech manufacturing environment. This position will lead and direct production maintenance operations at SEA99 and satellite shipping systems at DWS5, ensuring maximum equipment availability and performance through disciplined preventive/predictive maintenance programs, rigorous metric tracking, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced production setting and brings a hands-on leadership style focused on team development, operational consistency, and driving results.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies to optimize equipment reliability and minimize production downtime
• Lead maintenance supervisors, engineers, leads, and technicians in troubleshooting complex equipment issues and implementing sustainable solutions
• Establish and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Drive root cause analysis programs and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment failures
• Optimize spare parts inventory management and maintenance resource allocation
• Develop and track maintenance KPIs including MTTR, MTBF, and OEE
• Create and manage maintenance budgets including labor, parts, and contractor costs (CAPEX and OPEX)
• Partner with production teams to coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules
• Lead maintenance improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs
• Develop and maintain SOPs, JHAs, and task lists for all maintenance activities
• Manage third-party vendor relationships and service contracts
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols including LOTO, arc flash, and confined space programs
• Own maintenance of gator cage satellite shipping systems at DWS5 as the sole LMG presence at that site
• Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly maintenance performance reports for leadership review (WBR/MBR)
• Track and analyze maintenance metrics on a weekly and monthly cadence to identify trends, drive accountability, and inform resource decisions
