Description
Maintenance Mechanic
We are recruiting for a Maintenance Mechanic at a food production and cold storage facility. This is a hands-on role maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing high-capacity food processing equipment on 2nd shift.
You will drive the preventative maintenance schedule, respond to breakdowns, support equipment installations, and work alongside Production and QA to keep the plant running.
What you'll do:
Execute routine inspections and preventative maintenance schedules
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures using schematics and root cause analysis
Repair or replace motors, pumps, valves, sensors, and related components
Perform industrial electrical work on low and high voltage systems
Maintain work orders and maintenance records in the CMMS
Support equipment installations and continuous improvement projects
Partner with Production and QA to optimize equipment and maintain sanitation standards
What you need:
3+ years as a maintenance mechanic in food manufacturing
Bilingual English/Spanish required
Experience with high-capacity food processing equipment such as vacuum stuffers, double clippers, block grinders, thermoformers, and industrial ovens
Skilled in mechanical, electrical, and control systems
Working knowledge of GMPs, OSHA, and PLC operations
Ability to support OT and weekend work as production requires
Trade school or high school diploma preferred
Must pass a drug screen and fit for duty check
Schedule: 2nd shift, 2:00pm to 11:30pm. Flexibility required for OT and weekends.
