Equipment Operator I: This position under general supervision of the
Water
Production and Distribution Foreman, operates a variety of light to
heavy
construction equipment and performs a variety of skilled and
semi-skilled
work in the construction, maintenance, and repair of the Citys utility
infra-
structure. This position is responsible for meter reading when required
and

Equipment Operator II: Under general supervision of the Water
Production
and Distribution Foreman, a utility equipment operator II operates a
variety
of light to heavy construction equipment and performs a variety of
skilled and
semi-skilled work in the construction, maintenance, and repair of the
Citys
utility infrastructure. When not operating machinery, an employee in
this
class is expected to take the initiative in assisting in the manual and
technical
aspects of construction, maintenance, and repair activities. This job
carries
out day to day activities in accordance with Federal, State, and local
laws,
rules, and regulations as well as city policies and procedures. This
class per-
forms related duties as required.
