The City of Topekas Housing Services Division is seeking a dedicated individual to join its team as the Equity Access Shelter (EAS) Program Coordinator. This position works with the Topeka/Shawnee County Continuum of Care (CoC), multiple partnering agencies, and consumers to ensure access to housing services. The incumbent oversees the Coordinated Entry process into HUD's HMIS system and will assist clients with being added to the by name list and obtaining housing services.
Primary duties include:
Work as the Coordinated Entry Liaison with the Topeka/Shawnee County CoC, partner agencies, and homeless outreach teams to assist individuals needing housing.
This includes working with partner agencies on funding availability and coordinating client services with them.
Oversee and provide assistance to the CoC's single point of access site.
Follow up with individuals receiving assistance to ensure they are getting additional services as needed after being housed.
Attend the Homeless Task Force meetings and other community meetings as needed, providing data and reports on the Coordinated Entry System.
