What Youll Do
- Provide nursing care to patients in an Emergency Department setting.
- Assess patient conditions and prioritize care based on clinical needs.
- Monitor patients and respond to changes in condition.
- Perform nursing interventions within the registered nurse scope of practice.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Support safe, organized care in a fast-paced emergency environment.
What You Need
Required:- Current registered nurse licensure applicable to the assignment
- 2 years of nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications
- CPI may be completed onsite
- Ability to work the assigned day-shift schedule
Preferred:- Previous travel nursing experience is preferred but not required.
About the Assignment
This Emergency Department assignment is with a leading facility in Slidell, Louisiana. The unit has 29 rooms, an average daily census of 114, and a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. The unit is open to three or four 12-hour shifts, and royal blue scrubs are required. Travelers should be available to work two of four designated holiday periods annually based on departmental needs and staff rotation.
