Job Title: Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: 321 Genesee Street, Oneida, NY 13421
Schedule: Nights, 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Weekend: Every Other Weekend
Holidays: As Required by Unit Needs

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience.

• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience.

• Active, unencumbered New York RN License.

• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications.

Job Summary:

Oneida Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Emergency Department team. The RN will be responsible for coordinating and delivering comprehensive patient care while utilizing specialized nursing knowledge, clinical judgment, and skills in a fast-paced emergency setting.

The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively, supervise LPNs and support staff, and remain calm and professional in high-pressure and emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' needs and provide comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Department.

• Coordinate patient care and supervise LPNs and other nursing support staff.

• Maintain accurate patient records and complete required documentation and reports promptly.

• Ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic environment while following infection control and quality standards.

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Provide excellent patient and family customer service while addressing concerns and ensuring patient comfort.

• Manage medical supplies and equipment to ensure readiness for patient care.

• Respond effectively to emergencies and high-pressure situations while maintaining professionalism.

• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) and computer systems for documentation and communication.
