Escort Driver

As an Escort Driver for Buckingham Heavy Transportation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe movement of oversized and over-dimensional loads on the road. Your primary responsibilities will include leading or following loads to ensure compliance with state regulations and ensuring the safety of the traveling public. This is a full-time position that will require overtime and the ability to spend Overnight(s) on the road based on transport schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with the truck driver to ensure accurate routing and timing of transport.
• Communicate with law enforcement and other escorts as needed to facilitate smooth transport.
• Provide clear guidance and directions to the truck driver during transport.
• Monitor road conditions and adjust routes as necessary.
• Ensure all necessary permits and safety measures are in place for transport.
• Maintain communication with the transport team throughout the journey.
• Assist in post-transport assessments, ensuring all loads have arrived safely and securely.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Experience in escort driving, preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with oversized load regulations and safety practices strongly preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow operational guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
