As an Escrow Officer (on‑site), you will prepare all documents associated with the processing and closing of escrow, conveyance of title, recording of documents, clearing of title requirements and issuance of title insurance. You will develop and maintain business by utilizing marketing and customer service techniques.ResponsibilitiesCommunicates and coordinates daily responsibilities with the Branch or Escrow ManagerObtains demands/releases to clear titleDraws instructions and supporting documents for signingAudits and closes file when all funds and documents are receivedDisburses fundsWrites escrow instructions consistent with the requirements of the parties and obtains their approvalEstimates the amount of money required to close escrow and obtains buyers' and sellers' depositsReviews commitment and/or preliminary title report to verify vesting and legal descriptionReconciles discrepancies between instructions and title report with title officer and/or principalsOrders beneficiary statements or demands, fire insurance, loan interest, rents and other prorated itemsDirects and may participate in the preparation of settlement sheetsTrains, supervises, guides and assigns work to other associates in officeMaintains confidentiality of all proprietary information and escrow transactionsUnderstands and complies with escrow accounting proceduresUnderstands and complies with Good Funds LawSolicits business in‑person, development functions or activities or virtualPrepares Account Servicing Setups, if applicableKnows Rate Manual and quotes accurate feesQualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalentAt least 3 years of Escrow Officer experienceSupervisory experience is preferredNotary license is requiredValid driver's license and reliable transportation are requiredBenefitsWe offer robust health insurance plans (Medical, Dental, Vision), a 401(k) Retirement Plan with a $1 for $1 Company Match up to 5%, Paid Parental Leave, an Associate Assistance Plan, an Education Assistance Program, up to $30,000 in Adoption Assistance, up to three weeks of vacation annually, Holiday, Sick Leave, Personal Day policies, a New Hire Referral Bonus Program, significant Home Purchase Discounts, and the Everyone's Included Day.
