The escrow officer performs advanced duties related to all facets of escrow processing. They are required to exercise extreme independent judgement and to possess the knowledge and experience necessary to handle any situation that may arise during the escrow process.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesAbility to complete routine residential resale, refinance or builder escrow transactions, including document preparation and the accurate preparation and submission of the closing disclosureAbility to read and understand title commitmentsAbility to resolve title issues (e.g. corrective deeds, vesting, federal tax liens, abstracts of judgment, bankruptcies, mineral rights, boundary disputes and encroachments)Understands real estate regulations and guidelines.Follows company standards and practices when processing transactions, as well as applicable state laws and guidelinesCoordinates the closing between all parties to the escrowReturns all calls, voicemails and e-mails in a timely mannerPerforms other duties as assignedMaintains cordial relationship with realtors, lenders, builders, buyers and sellers to promote/solicit businessAdheres to company policies and guidelines.Experience, Skills, KnowledgeHigh school degree or equivalent required.
