Job Description:
Easy Street Capital is seeking an experienced Escrow Specialist to lead tax and insurance administration for our growing RTL portfolio and help build our in-house escrow capabilities to support our expanding DSCR portfolio.
This is a hands-on role for someone who brings strong mortgage escrow expertise, can operate independently, and is excited to help shape processes and systems as our servicing platform grows.
Responsibilities:
- Manage relationships and day-to-day activity with tax and insurance vendors
- Oversee vendor data files, loan boarding/deboarding, monitoring, exceptions, and issue resolution
- Partner with the Accounting team on vendor invoicing and related reconciliation
- Serve as the internal point of contact for tax, insurance, and escrow questions and escalations
- Provide subject matter expertise as we build and test escrow functionality within our servicing platform
- Manage DSCR escrow activity, including analysis, collections, disbursements, shortages, surpluses, and advances
- Support other servicing functions and initiatives as needed
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of mortgage servicing experience with direct tax, insurance, and escrow experience
- Strong understanding of mortgage escrow administration and servicing practices
- Experience working with tax and insurance monitoring vendors
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to independently research and resolve servicing issues
- Comfortable working in a growing environment where processes and systems are actively being built
- Business-purpose loan servicing experience
- Experience supporting servicing system development, implementation, or testing
- 5+ years of mortgage servicing experience with direct tax, insurance, and escrow experience
- Bachelor's degree
