Estimator- Commercial Construction

FULLY CONFIDENTIAL OPPORTUNITY – COMMERCIAL ESTIMATOR

A well-established commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Commercial Estimator to join its growing preconstruction team.

THE ROLE

• Prepare budgets and detailed estimates for commercial construction projects
• Support projects from conceptual estimating through final bid
• Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and project teams
• Work on Design-Build, Construction Management, Negotiated, GMP, Lump Sum, and Design-Bid-Build projects

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Review plans, specifications, and project documents
• Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed estimates
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Conduct scope reviews to eliminate gaps and reduce risk
• Prepare bid packages and supporting documentation
• Assist with budgeting throughout design
• Visit project sites as needed
• Build relationships with subcontractors and vendors
• Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and preconstruction presentations

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of commercial estimating experience
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods and building systems
• Experience with conceptual estimating, budgeting, and competitive bidding
• Understanding of multiple project delivery methods
• Knowledge of CSI divisions and commercial buyout processes
• Proficiency in Excel and estimating software
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
