Our client is hiring in the building and construction industry in Manhattan.
Job Description
Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and timelines. Analyze project plans and specifications to determine scope and requirements. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure estimates align with project goals and budgets. Review and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals for accuracy and competitiveness. Assist in developing value engineering solutions to optimize project costs. Maintain updated cost databases and records for reference in future projects. Communicate with suppliers and vendors to obtain accurate pricing and delivery information. Provide regular updates and reports on project cost estimates and financial progress.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Estimator - Construction - Manhattan should have:
- Strong experience with construction cost estimation and budgeting in the building and construction industry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, project plans, and technical documents.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to develop accurate estimates.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
