The Civi Group has partnered with a well-established construction firm headquartered in Massachusetts, known for its vast experience in delivering complex, high-quality projects for U.S. federal agencies both domestically and internationally.

This company has a track record of delivering high-profile projects like renovations at Alcatraz, Coast Guard housing in Alaska, and hurricane recovery efforts in Puerto Rico. Located in Metro West, MA – no travel required. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, growing company with a reputation for strong employee retention, career growth, and exciting projects.

They are currently looking for an Estimator to join their team, focusing on medium to large-scale civil construction projects.

Compensation depends on experience but is up to $90K.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze construction blueprints and specifications to develop accurate estimates for materials, labor, and timelines.
• Solicit and evaluate competitive bids from subcontractors and vendors, ensuring thorough communication of project requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive cost breakdowns and support the development of project scopes, ensuring all tasks are clearly defined.
• Review and compare subcontractor and vendor proposals to confirm compliance with project specifications, budgets, and schedules.
• Collaborate with project management and procurement teams to maintain pricing accuracy and contribute insights on cost control strategies.
• Create and present cost comparisons, leveraging industry trends to ensure competitive and current estimates.
• Maintain and update a historical database of past project estimates and vendor proposals to refine future bid accuracy.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in construction cost estimation.
• Experience with civil or federal projects is plus but not required.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, labor, and current market pricing.
• Proficiency in estimating software, such as Bluebeam or AutoCAD, and a strong working knowledge of project management tools.
• Familiarity with federal government project requirements is advantageous but not essential.
