    Description

    Estimator - Electrical / Manufacturing Industry

    Salary: $90,000 annually
    Job Type: Full-time | On-site

    Position Overview

    The Estimator is responsible for preparing detailed material takeoffs and cost estimates for industrial, electrical, and manufacturing projects. This role requires the ability to interpret complex 2D/3D drawings, analyze specifications, and collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure accurate project pricing and documentation.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Review and interpret 2D/3D CAD drawings, specifications, and RFQs.

    • Develop accurate material takeoffs and cost estimates for electrical and mechanical systems.

    • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing, lead times, and technical data.

    • Coordinate with Sales, Finance, and Operations to align on scope, budgets, and schedules.

    • Support bid proposals, cost analysis, and value-engineering initiatives.

    • Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, and environmental standards.

    • Maintain cost databases and assist in process improvements related to estimating accuracy and efficiency.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.

    • Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical construction, switchgear, or industrial estimating.

    • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.

    • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
