Estimator - MEP Projects - Reston, VA

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial mechanical construction projects
• Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze project drawings, specifications, and bid documents
• Develop pricing for HVAC, plumbing, piping, and related mechanical systems
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and preconstruction teams
• Evaluate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs
• Assist with negotiated, hard-bid, and design-build project pursuits
• Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving solutions
• Maintain accurate estimating records and bid documentation
• Utilize estimating software and tools to develop competitive proposals
• Support project handoff processes and ongoing estimating best practices

• 3+ years of experience in estimating, engineering, construction, or project management within related industries
• Experience working alongside Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) professionals
• Strong understanding of commercial construction principles and practices
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation
• Technical knowledge of commercial building systems
• Experience estimating HVAC, plumbing, piping, or mechanical construction projects
• Familiarity with negotiated, hard-bid, and design-build delivery methods
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Procore and On-Screen Takeoff preferred
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

• Competitive base salary: $90,000 to $135,000
