Estimator/Project Manager Government Sector Construction

• Prepare accurate conceptual, schematic, and detailed cost estimates for commercial, institutional, and government construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop comprehensive bid packages.
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analyses for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted scopes.
• Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and leadership throughout the preconstruction process.

• Assist in value engineering exercises and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare bid proposals and support project presentations when required.
• Manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting strict bidding deadlines.
• Support projects ranging from approximately $5M to $20M in value.
• Contribute to high-profile projects including healthcare, research, military, and institutional facilities throughout Massachusetts.

• Experience estimating commercial, institutional, healthcare, federal, or public-sector construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and building systems.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Experience working for a general contractor is preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical scopes or integrated construction services is a plus.
