Position: Event Greeter
Status: Full time 3 day temporary assignment
Hours: 7:30am to 5pm
Payrate: $19/hr to $21/hr based on experience

About the organization:
Our client, a prominent Washington, DC-based association, is seeking a professional and dependable Temporary Event Greeter for a 3-day assignment at the beautiful Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs, CO. This contract role runs from June 16th through June 18th, supporting the association's regional event infrastructure.
  • Tuesday, June 16th (1:00 PM – 5:00 PM): The greeter will focus on pre-event organization, creating name tags, and assisting with light setup, including moving light boxes.
  • Wednesday, June 17th (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM): Responsibilities will shift to managing the primary registration desk, distributing materials, and conducting a warm meet and greet with all of the arriving attendees under the direction of the Event Coordinator.
  • Thursday, June 18th (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM): The assignment concludes with continued meeting and greeting of all event attendees alongside regular registration duties, followed by assisting the coordinator with event breakdown, repacking, and load-out.
This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic, organized, and service-oriented individual who can quickly adapt to the event environment and contribute immediately with minimal training. While the schedule is outlined above, we are seeking a candidate with a flexible mindset whose availability can adapt if daily hours need to be slightly adjusted on-site to match the flow of the event.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with event setup on the first day
  • Help pack up materials and break down the event on the final day
  • Greet attendees and provide excellent hospitality throughout the event
  • Manage attendee check-in and name tag distribution
  • Support the event team with general onsite needs as they arise
  • Maintain a welcoming, organized, and professional environment

REQUIREMENTS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods of time
  • Able to lift and move boxes and event materials
  • Previous event, hospitality, or customer-facing experience preferred
  • Positive attitude and willingness to jump in where needed
  •
