Event Logistics Driver

24/7 Security Alameda County Fairgrounds

STARTING PAY $22.50 - $25.00 / hr

PART TIME POSITION - CA GUARD CARD REQUIRED

Key Responsibilities

• Must have a valid Drivers License and clean driving record
• Conduct driving routes between venues and cities in order to assist with delivering equipment
• Must be able to drive larger vehicles - Vans/Box Trucks
• Observe and report any concerns

This role requires strong situational awareness, professionalism, and the ability to respond promptly to last minute requests.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned.

• Conduct driving routes between venues and cities in order to assist with delivering equipment such as uniforms
• Must be able to drive larger vehicles - Vans/Box Trucks
• 24/7 Security Coverage at Alameda County Fairgrounds
• Observe and report any concerns
• Assist in all aspects of event day preparation and execution.
• Allow appropriate entry into each venue, may collect and/or scan tickets, verify wristbands and badges, direct traffic coming in and out of the venue.
• Screen guests during entry via bag searching, hand wand or metal detector, and ID verification.
• Protect guests, staff, and venue ownership group assets by watching for security breaches at vital checkpoints.
• Respond quickly to potential crowd control issues and provide escorts for unruly guests when ejections are warranted.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the policies, procedures and regulations of different venues, facilities and events.
• Provide a positive experience for guests as they arrive at your facility entrance, aisle, concourse area or other location
• Provide guests with helpful directions and/or suggestions that will enhance their entertainment experience.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a Valid CA Driver's License
• Must have a clean driving record
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a California Guard Card license issued by BSIS
• As a condition of employment, candidate must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test; pass a driving MVR
• Able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
• Must be able to work overtime or early/late hours as needed.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
