Event Producer (NMC/LA)

Our Client, a Cancer Center company, is looking for an Event Producer (NMC/LA) for their Irwindale, CA/Hybrid location.

Responsibilities:

• 35 % Create, develop, and deliver exceptional experiences that enhance audience engagement and distinguish City of Hope, with the goal of expanding its national reach through events
• 30 % Accountable for overseeing project initiation, execution, closure, budgeting and strategic planning for future initiatives.
• 10 % Oversee relationships with external organizations, vendors, contractors, venues, and consultants.
• 10 % Collaborate with stakeholders to define marketing material requirements, execute experiential activations, and ensure brand consistency across the events portfolio.
• 10 % Assess and continually improve the event experience.
• 5 % Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Travel and Tourism, Hospitality or related field.
• Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
• Minimum Experience:
• 3-5 years in public relations, public speaking, event planning, hospitality, tour planning or similar field.
• Preferred Education:
• Event Planning and Management, Marketing, Communications, or Hospitality degree preferred
• Preferred Experience:
• Conferences, Events, Meetings and Hospitality, Protocol, Diplomacy and Etiquette, Stakeholder and Audience Engagement, Live and Virtual Events
• Skills/Abilities:
• Proven presentation skills training and coaching for spokespersons
• Proven event and meeting management skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, ability to multi-task
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated project management expertise
• Outstanding negotiation abilities
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to stay composed under pressure
• Ability to anticipate risks and adopt a solution-focused approach
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment
• Diplomacy; ability to effectively cultivate and maintain relationships
