Job Title:Event Sales Manager – Restaurants & F&B

Department: Sales

SUMMARY:

The Event Sales Manager of Restaurants & F&B is responsible for driving private dining and group event sales across the hotel’s restaurants and banquet outlets. This role focuses exclusively on generating revenue through F&B focused events, such as private dinners, receptions, social gatherings, and corporate dining experiences. The ideal candidate is a proactive seller with strong hospitality experience, excellent client relationship skills, and a deep understanding of food & beverage operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactively generate private dining and F&B event business through outbound sales, networking, and responding to inquiries
  • Conduct site tours, create proposals, and manage the full sales cycle for restaurant-based and banquet F&B events
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and local businesses
  • Collaborate with restaurant managers, chefs, and banquet staff to plan and execute seamless, high-quality events
  • Stay informed on restaurant menus, beverage programs, seasonal offerings, and promotional events
  • Prepare detailed event orders (BEOs) and ensure all event details are communicated to operations teams
  • Achieve or exceed monthly and annual F&B event sales targets and revenue goals
  • Maintain accurate client records, event details, and pipeline activity in the CRM or booking system
  • Represent the hotel and its dining venues at local networking events, trade shows, and marketing functions
  • Ensure excellent client service throughout the planning process, event execution, and post-event follow-up
  • Be present during key events to oversee execution, ensure client satisfaction, and serve as the main point of contact
  • Work closely with F&B operations teams on-site to troubleshoot issues, support service flow, and ensure event details are followed
  • Provide day-of coordination for private dining and banquet events, ensuring a smooth experience for both guests and staff
  • Liaise with the Accounting department to ensure all charges are accurate and properly processed
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2–3 years of experience in event sales, private dining sales, catering sales, or similar hospitality roles
  • Strong understanding of restaurant and food & beverage operations
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proposal writing and client presentations
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships and deliver outstanding customer service
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and booking platforms (e.g., OpenTable, Tripleseat, SevenRooms, or similar)
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event needs
  • Professional demeanor with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly on-site
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish (preferred).

The Event Sales Manager primarily works in a professional office setting within the hotel but frequently moves between various areas of the property, including restaurants, banquet halls, kitchens, and event spaces. The role involves a combination of desk work, client meetings, and on-site event coordination, often requiring flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to support events and client needs. The environment can be fast-paced and dynamic, especially during peak event seasons, requiring the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service. Occasional travel within the hotel premises and attendance at off-site networking or promotional events may also be necessary.
