What does the role entail?

The Event Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and assisting in all Event Service (Banquet) activities. Supervises room set-ups, service, and clean-up of all event functions. May assist in scheduling required staff for event functions, and maintains event equipment. The Event Services Supervisor will also support colleagues during busy periods and collaborate to ensure seamless guest service. Promote a positive work environment through open communication, empathy, and mutual respect. Follow health, safety, and wellness policies to help maintain a safe workplace. Contribute to a culture of inclusion, diversity, and belonging where all employees feel valued and supported.

Qualifications

Your experience:

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Responsible for overseeing event setup, and ensuring all details are within Hyatt standards and client requirements.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and stewarding departments with food and beverage event needs.
• Ensure food and beverage presentation meet the Hyatt Hotels standards.
• Direct Event Services staff throughout the event, and ensuring an excellent customer service experience.
• Anticipate any issues and/or resolving complaints from guests in a timely manger
• Maintain communication with clients throughout the duration of the event or function, ensuring satisfaction.
• Ensure health and safety compliances at all times.
• Able to work well under pressure.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
