Events Planner

JOB DESCRIPTION
Plan and execute events that support the goals of the enterprise. Ensure successful execution of event from start to post-event evaluations.Plans and executes events, such as marketing and sales conferences, trade shows and customer related eventsDirects logistics, including registration and attendee tracking, presentation and materials support and pre- and post-event evaluationsProcures vendor servicesWorks with facility, exhibit set-up, equipment and catering requirementsProvides on-site event supportResearch potential event locations and evaluate alternativesPrepares and tracks budgets, provides periodic progress reports for each event projectConducts post-event evaluations to determine how future events could be improved uponRegularly exercises discretion and independent judgment the in performance of his/her job dutiesJob SpecificationsTypically has the following skills or abilities:Bachelor s degree in marketing, hospitality or related field or equivalent experience2+ years in an event planner-oriented positionKeen attention to detail and follow up / follow through are a must for this positionProficiency in Excel, PPT, Microsoft officeExperience in budget and planningExperience managing all phases of multiple projects simultaneously, and adjust to continuously changing responsibilities and prioritiesExcellent communications skillsMust be available to travel as needed
