Job Summary

Summary: Bring exceptional cuisine to life at River Roast Events. As an Events Sous Chef, you will help lead culinary operations that will exceed guest expectations while supporting Levy standards for quality, safety, sanitation, cost control, and hospitality. You will execute menus, maintain recipes and presentation standards, support operational planning, develop culinary team members, and help ensure every event delivers an outstanding food experience.

Qualifications:

• Culinary degree preferred.
• Fine dining experience preferred.
• Experience tasting and evaluating food and beverage products.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Outlook email; and internet-based applications.
• Experience managing and developing a culinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Executes menus in accordance with brand standards.
• Maintains recipes and core culinary standards.
• Ensures food presentation meets show-quality standards.
• Conducts daily walkthroughs of culinary areas for events.
• Maintains proper product control and handling of inventory and equipment.
• Achieves assigned food-cost and operational goals.
• Ensures safety, security, and sanitation standards are achieved.
• Forecasts and schedules culinary team members based on operational needs.
• Plans product and equipment requirements for anticipated business levels.
• Interviews, hires, trains, and develops culinary team members according to Levy guidelines.
• Mentors Sous Chefs to strengthen culinary and leadership capabilities.
• Responds to culinary and departmental guest-service opportunities.
