Manages work activities of cleaning personnel of Environmental Services Department by performing the following personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
Supervises preparation of work schedules for EVS staff.
Trains staff in all necessary EVS tasks according to EVS procedures
Monitors performance of staff and adherence to casino policies and procedures.
Issues supplies and equipment as required.
Arranges for repair of cleaning equipment.
Maintains and updates cleaning supplies inventory. Submits requisitions for cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
Coordinates activities of outside vendors providing services and/or equipment for casino environment.
Serves as liaison between the casino and Maintenance.
May perform duties of supervisors and staff as required.
Complies with the Standard Operation Procedures within Environmental Services Department.
Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise employees of the EVS Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of EVS staff.
Provide excellent guest service.
Must adhere to all Tribal Ordinance, Regulations, and the ACRM and ACPS System of Internal Controls, and Standard Operating Procedures.
GAMING EXPERIENCE NOT REQUIRED
Required Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED
4-6 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience with 2 years supervisory experience
Must be able to communicate in English
Must have knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 mile, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift.
Must be able to work in a smoke filled environment. Typically the individual will be housed in an office environment.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but will escalate when located in the casino environment.
Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
