Job Title : Execution and Trading Services (ETS) - Multiple Levels
Location : Chicago, New York, London, Singapore or Hong Kong
Position Summary
Balyasny is expanding its Execution and Trading Services (ETS) function to support the growth of the firm's trading platform across products, strategies, and regions.
ETS sits within the trading organization and works across investment teams, technology, operations, compliance, and business management to support scalable execution workflows, platform governance, and trading infrastructure. The team supports a multi-asset environment, including equities, options, commodities, and macro products.
We are hiring across multiple levels. Depending on experience, the role may focus on execution support, workflow management, product and broker onboarding, platform monitoring, issue resolution, process improvement, and strategic platform initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with traders, portfolio managers, and infrastructure teams to support execution workflows across asset classes and regions
- Support onboarding of new products, brokers, markets, and trading workflows
- Help manage workflow exceptions, production issues, and day-to-day execution support
- Identify and drive improvements in platform efficiency, controls, automation, and operating procedures
- Partner with technology on tooling, monitoring, and execution platform enhancements
- Coordinate across trading, operations, compliance, legal, finance, and business management to deliver cross-functional initiatives
- For senior hires, lead strategic projects related to market access, trading infrastructure, workflow design, and platform scaling
Candidate Profile
- Experience in trading, execution, market structure, trading operations, platform management, or a related function within financial services
- Exposure to one or more asset classes, including equities, options, futures, commodities, FX, rates, or other macro products
- Strong understanding of electronic workflows and the operational processes supporting front-office activity
- Familiarity with areas such as broker connectivity, market access, execution venues, platform controls, or change management
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively across front-office and infrastructure teams in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a hedge fund, broker-dealer, market maker, exchange, or other trading-intensive environment
- Familiarity with multi-asset execution workflows and trading platform architecture
- Experience with trading systems, OMS/EMS platforms, or execution-related tooling
- Technical fluency with Excel, SQL, and Python ; strong understanding of databases and monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Geneos etc).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high performing environment
- Experience working with global teams across the US, Europe, and Asia
With respect to NY, CA, and IL based applicants, the starting base pay range for this role is between USD 150000 and USD 250000 annually. The actual base pay is dependent upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, business needs and market demands. This role may also be eligible for bonus compensation and employee benefits.
