Work Hard, Have Fun, and Make History with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security is seeking a dedicated, resourceful, and customer-obsessed Executive Assistant to support the VP and Proactive Security Team. This high-impact role requires superior attention to detail, strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously, and a demonstrated capacity to deliver results under tight timelines.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a high degree of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and will engage with senior leaders-both internally and externally-with professionalism and sound judgment. This individual must be capable of completing complex tasks and projects independently with minimal direction, responding with appropriate urgency when circumstances require rapid turnaround, and exercising decisive action in the absence of complete information. The role requires the ability to operate effectively within a collaborative team environment while maintaining awareness of organizational objectives, standards, and strategic priorities.

Key job responsibilities

  • Manage complex, multi-timezone calendars and scheduling with diplomacy, discretion, and precision.
  • Coordinate and execute domestic and international travel arrangements, including detailed trip agendas and local logistics.
  • Plan and facilitate team activities including leadership meetings, on-site/off-site events, all-staff meetings, and organizational forums.
  • Own the team"s space planning efforts in partnership with business stakeholders; manage seat assignments and ensure efficient workspace allocation across teams and locations.
  • Prepare executive briefing materials, including coordination of reading documents and background information to ensure leadership readiness for all engagements.
  • Track key deliverables, drive completion, and ensure timely follow-up on action items.
  • Process expense reports, purchase orders, and corporate card reconciliations; contribute to budget planning and financial tracking as required.
  • Serve as a liaison between leadership and team members across multiple geographic regions, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
  • Organize, prioritize, and appropriately handle time-sensitive and confidential information, ensuring all required actions are addressed promptly.
  • Respond to and escalate security events in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Manage core administrative functions including new-hire onboarding, organizational charts, supply procurement, and operational logistics.
  • Partner with fellow Executive Assistants across AWS Security and the broader Amazon organization to share best practices and provide mutual support.
  • Foster a positive team culture and contribute to an engaging work environment.

About the Company

A

Amazon.com Inc

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
