We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant II to support the Director of Prime Video Experience Tech. This role is critical to the smooth operation of a large, globally distributed engineering organization. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, exercises excellent judgment, and can manage competing priorities with grace and efficiency.

You will serve as a trusted partner to the Director, managing complex calendaring across multiple time zones (US, UK, India), coordinating domestic and international travel, planning team events, and driving operational efficiency across the organization. You will work closely with other Executive Assistants across Prime Video leadership to ensure seamless coordination.

Key job responsibilities

  • Manage complex calendar for multiple Director-level leaders, proactively resolving scheduling conflicts and optimizing time allocation across strategic priorities
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, visas, and detailed itineraries
  • Plan and execute team events, offsites, All Hands meetings, and leadership summits for a globally distributed organization
  • Manage expense reporting and purchase orders in compliance with Amazon policies
  • Serve as a liaison between the Director and internal/external stakeholders, managing communications with discretion and professionalism
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with EAs supporting other Prime Video leaders to schedule leadership meetings, QBRs, and planning sessions
  • Track and drive operational cadences including team meetings, 1:1s, skip-levels, and recurring business reviews
  • Manage space planning and seating coordination for the team across office locations
  • Support onboarding logistics for new team members joining the organization
  • Anticipate the needs of the leader and proactively take action to address them before they become urgent

A day in the life

As an Executive Assistant in PVXT, no two days are the same. You might start your morning by reviewing the day's calendar and making adjustments to accommodate a last-minute scheduling request from a VP's office. By mid-morning, you could be coordinating travel logistics for an upcoming leadership offsite in London, working with colleagues across time zones to nail down the agenda.

After lunch, you might spend time planning the quarterly All Hands meeting - sourcing a venue, coordinating with IT for AV setup, and managing the invite list. Throughout the day, you'll field requests from team members, triage incoming communications, and ensure your leader is prepared and on-time for each engagement. You'll wrap up by prepping tomorrow's schedule and flagging any conflicts that need resolution.

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
