Oso Semiconductor is a fast-growing early-stage fabless semiconductor company developing next-generation microchips for wireless communication and sensing. Founded by UC Berkeley PhDs, our proprietary microchip architecture delivers 2-4x power reduction for phased array systems across satellite communication (SATCOM), 5G, and radar. We've raised Series A funding, built our first chipsets, secured our first defense and commercial customers, and are preparing to scale the team 3X.

The Role

As Executive Assistant, you'll be the operational backbone that keeps the CEO and the company running smoothly. You'll manage the details so leadership can stay focused on building the company, while also acting as a trusted partner across HR, finance, legal, and daily operations.

This is a high-trust, high-ownership role for someone who thrives on organization, anticipates needs before they're spoken, and is comfortable wearing many hats in a fast-moving startup. Discretion is essential: you'll regularly handle confidential information across compensation, legal, and IP matters.

Responsibilities

• Administrative Tasks: Perform an array of administrative tasks (e.g., manage CEO's correspondence / calendars, book meetings/travel, plan events, etc.) as needed
• Operational Support: Support with ongoing company operations while improving efficiency and responsiveness. Help identify new operational weaknesses with CEO and team. Maintain office space and supplies
• HR Assistance: Support recruiting and retention activities. Help onboard new hires and offboard outgoing employees. Contribute to a positive and welcoming company culture.
• Financial Support: Expense report, invoice processing, payroll coordination, PO management, and additional financial housekeeping
• Legal and Compliance Support: Contract management, tracking of relevant NDAs and IP filings
• Vendor Management: Liaise with external partners, companies, and guests on behalf of Oso Semiconductor for scheduling of engagements, appointments, and any special requests

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years as an executive assistant, office manager, or operations/admin support, ideally supporting a founder or C-suite leader.
• Exceptional organization and attention to detail, with a track record of managing complex calendars, travel, and competing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proven discretion handling confidential and sensitive information.
• Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities in a startup environment.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and the ability to quickly learn new tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a startup, deep-tech, or semiconductor company.
• Exposure to HR, recruiting, finance ops, or bookkeeping.
• Familiarity with tools like Gusto, Brex, QuickBooks, Carta, DocuSign, HubSpot, or Breezy.
• Event planning experience.
