Established venture capital firm, backed by top-tier investors, is looking for an Executive Assistant to support a Founding Partner. This is an incredible opportunity to be a true long-term partner to a highly connected, high-output executive who moves fast and interacts with everyone from portfolio founders to ultra-high-net-worth individuals to well-known public figures. In this role, you'll own complex, high-volume calendar management with a real managing-up component, coordinate travel, provide additional light support for two executives, and event planning — from client dinners to an annual multi-day retreat hosting dozens of CEOs. Someone entrepreneurial and solutions-oriented, brings sharp context-reading and people instincts, and has no ego about rolling up their sleeves will thrive here. This is a career-EA role with real room to grow deeper into the craft as the Executive's business and life continue to scale. This is an in-office role, 5 days/week, based in Austin, TX. 140-180K DOE + equity, 100% covered benefits for employee and dependents, bonus, and 401K with matching.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a complex, high-volume calendar for a Founding Partner, proactively identifying and resolving scheduling conflicts while advising on trade-offs.
  • Manage up with confidence, pushing back when needed and flagging the downstream consequences of last-minute changes.
  • Provide light administrative support to two additional senior executives.
  • Coordinate travel, including researching logistics carefully and building in appropriate backup plans.
  • Own some event planning, from small client dinners to large-scale annual retreats, handling everything from guest lists to on-site logistics.
  • Act as a true extension of the Executive, building deep context on his network and priorities in order to anticipate needs before being asked.
  • Build in proactive structure around the Executive's calendar and energy, not just reactive scheduling.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience supporting a founder, C-suite executive, or high-net-worth individual in a fast-paced environment; entrepreneurial or entertainment-industry backgrounds are a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and extreme attention to detail.
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented, with the instinct to anticipate needs rather than wait for direction.
  • Strong strategic calendaring skills, with the ability to assess priorities and make judgment calls on scheduling without being asked.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to shift tone and style across a wide range of stakeholders, from institutional contacts to close personal relationships.
  • Comfortable with quick, high-frequency communication via text and calls rather than long-form email.
  • Low ego and willing to pitch in wherever needed, no task too big or small.
  • Committed to living in the role's home city long-term, rather than relocating for a short-term or transitional position.
  • Excited to build a long-term career as an Executive Assistant, rather than transition into a Chief of Staff or operations role.

*Please Note: Your application will be considered for all open positions. You do not need to apply for multiple roles.
