Executive Assistant To The Attorney General - Scheduling

Under the Director of Scheduling and Advance, the Executive Assistant to the Attorney General - Scheduling assists with scheduling events, meetings, and the general maintenance of the Attorney General's calendar. The Executive Assistant to the Attorney General – Scheduling will prepare logistical and background briefing memos for the Attorney General's public appearances and in-house meetings; advance and staff the Attorney General at public engagements as assigned; research and prepare special requests; process invitations, respond to scheduling inquiries; brief the Attorney General on scheduling requests as needed; and perform other duties as assigned. The Executive Assistant to the Attorney General – Scheduling will work closely with various departments within the office such as: senior administration officials, division/bureau chiefs, strategic communications, and press, among others.

This position requires a bachelor's degree in political science, communications, journalism, or public relations and at least two years professional experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a working knowledge of Illinois state government is desired. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, a valid driver's license, the ability to travel throughout the state, and flexibility to occasionally work outside normal work hours are required. Attendance and the ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships with other employees and the general public are essential functions of this position.

Position requires in office attendance.
