Chef Tim Love is on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at his flagship restaurant, Lonesome Dove Western Bistro, in the famous Fort Worth Stockyards. In this role, you will be the driving force behind creating memorable dining experiences, managing all kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a flair for fine dining, strong leadership skills, and a knack for innovative menu planning. You'll oversee everything from food preparation to team management, fostering a vibrant culinary environment that delights guests and supports staff development.


Responsibilities


  • Lead the development and execution of creative menus that align with the restaurant's concept and uphold quality standards.
  • Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food production, food handling, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory control and food management processes to minimize waste and optimize costs.
  • Oversee catering events and banquet services, ensuring seamless execution from setup to service.
  • Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and support personnel, fostering teamwork and professional growth.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and sanitation practices across all kitchen areas.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth communication between kitchen and service staff for exceptional guest experiences.
Qualifications


  • Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining environments.
  • Proven supervising experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Familiarity with dietary department procedures and catering operations.
  • Strong skills in food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen management.
  • Experience in inventory management, inventory control, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
  • Leadership qualities with excellent team management skills to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment.
Must have verifiable references at upscale high volume establishment and be local to DFW area.
