Executive DirectorBrazos Valley Food Bank | Bryan, TexasThe Brazos Valley Food Bank (BVFB) is seeking an inspiring, strategic, and community-minded Executive Director to lead a highly respected regional organization into its next chapter.This is an exciting time for BVFB. The organization has just completed and begun implementation of an ambitious three-year Strategic Plan focused on Food Access for All, Catalyzing Health, Transforming Foundational Conditions, and Mobilizing the Community.Serving Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Madison, Robertson, and Washington Counties, BVFB reaches more than 75,000 unique neighbors each year and distributes nearly 8 million pounds of food. Its impact is supported by a network of more than 100 community partners and innovative direct-service programs including food assistance for children and seniors, School-Based Food Pantries, Mobile Food Distributions, Home Delivery, Nutrition Education, SNAP Enrollment, Food is Medicine initiatives, and Together We Grow, a workforce-readiness and economic-mobility program.BVFB is financially strong and well positioned for continued impact, with more than $4 million in annual cash revenue, significant food assets, a fully owned and recently upgraded 50,000-square-foot facility, a fully paid fleet and infrastructure, thousands of committed volunteers, and an engaged Board of Directors.The OpportunityThe Executive Director provides visionary and operational leadership for the organization’s strategy, programs, operations, finances, development, advocacy, and community engagement. As the primary liaison to the Board of Directors, the ED translates strategy into action, supports effective governance, and ensures organizational accountability and sustainability. The ED also serves as BVFB’s chief culture leader, fostering a high-performing workplace grounded in adaptability, belonging, boldness, empathy, integrity, partnership, and radical hospitality.The successful candidate will be a visible and collaborative leader who can inspire staff, engage donors and volunteers, build strong community partnerships, communicate effectively with diverse audiences, and navigate a changing food-insecurity landscape. The ED will champion strategic growth while ensuring sound financial stewardship, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, strong Board partnership, and measurable community impact.Qualifications & Core CompetenciesBVFB is seeking a leader who brings:Experience & Education: a minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector, with demonstrated experience working with a Board of Directors. Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.Strategic Leadership: Proven ability to lead organizational strategy, drive execution, manage change, and foster continuous improvement based on data and community needs. Fundraising & Financial Stewardship: Track record of supporting fundraising efforts, managing budgets, and ensuring responsible resource allocation.Relationship & Stakeholder Engagement: Skilled in building and maintaining strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including Board members, donors, partners, volunteers, and community leaders.Communication & Public Presence: Exceptional written, verbal, and public speaking skills, with the ability to effectively represent and advocate for the organization.Mission Alignment: Deep commitment to addressing food insecurity and advancing community impact.Learning & Adaptability: Demonstrates learning agility, openness to feedback, and commitment to best practices and innovation.Technical & Operational Acumen: Proficiency with standard business technologies and ability to navigate operational, compliance, and policy environments.Sector Engagement: Active participation in relevant networks (e.g., Feeding America, Feeding Texas) to strengthen impact and collaboration.Additional Requirements: Flexibility to support organizational needs (including occasional evenings/weekends and disaster response), valid driver’s license, and successful completion of background check; ability to meet the physical and travel demands of the role.Compensation & BenefitsSalary: $100,000–$125,000BVFB offers a competitive benefits package that includes:
