About this role:
This is an opportunity to lead Cal State LA's Office of Civil Rights and Title IX at an important point in its evolution. The position is being recruited as the Executive Director of Civil Rights and Title IX, reflecting the scope, visibility, and institutional importance of the work.
Serving as Cal State LA's Title IX Coordinator and DHR Administrator, the Executive Director is the University's senior administrator responsible for implementing the CSU Nondiscrimination Policy and coordinating compliance with applicable federal and state civil rights laws and regulations. The role works under the general direction of Human Resources Management while also maintaining reporting relationships with the University President and CSU Associate Vice Chancellor for Civil Rights.
The Executive Director will provide leadership across the full continuum of civil rights and Title IX work—from intake, supportive measures, investigations, and resolutions to prevention, education, compliance monitoring, systemic risk identification, and institutional strategy.
Beyond managing individual matters, this leader will shape the strategic direction of the office, strengthen prevention and education efforts, develop a talented team, and advise senior University and CSU leadership on complex, sensitive, and high-risk civil rights matters.
The Executive Director directly oversees a Senior Investigator, Investigator, and Prevention, Education, and Compliance Manager.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $170,000–$175,000 annually. Relocation packages are available.
