    WEEKLY ATTENDANCE: 1,193

    Meet Fusion Church

Fusion Church is one of the fastest-growing, culturally diverse churches in New Jersey—located just minutes from the shore! Once a dying congregation, God has transformed us into a thriving, multi-location movement reaching thousands each week through relevant Bible teaching, powerful worship, and dynamic children’s and youth ministries.

Today we gather as three churches—EHT Church, Ventnor Church, and Newfield Church—with one vision: Impact all 21 counties in New Jersey and ultimately the Northeast Coast, because God’s Kingdom is meant to expand.

    About the Executive Family Pastor

This is more than a job—it’s a calling. We’re looking for a high-capacity pastoral leader with a deep love for Jesus, a heart for families, and the executive-level leadership to build one unified discipleship pathway for every generation at Fusion.

Your mission: Own and advance the vision of Fusion’s family ministry from birth through young adulthood across all three churches—so that every child, student, and young adult encounters Jesus, belongs to a community, and is equipped to live out their God-given purpose, and every parent is empowered to lead their family spiritually.

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team reporting directly to the Lead Pastor, you will help set the direction of the whole church, not just one department.

The Executive Family Pastor's responsibilities include:

    Vision & Strategy

    • Define and steward a single, integrated Next Gen vision and discipleship pathway from birth through young adults.
    •  Translate the Lead Pastor’s vision into annual goals, using Fusion’s 4DX / Wildly Important Goal rhythm with clear lead and lag measures.
    • Develop and own the Next Gen budget, calendar, and curriculum direction in partnership with the Executive Leadership Team.

    Executive Leadership

    • Serve as a full member of the Executive Leadership Team, contributing to church-wide strategy, staffing, and prioritization.
    • Report directly to the Lead Pastor with regular updates on health, growth, and risks across Kids, Students, and Young Adults.
    • Partner with the Executive Worship Pastor, Central Ministries Team, and Location Pastors to keep Sundays and weekday ministry aligned.

    Multisite Oversight

    • Ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for every family at EHT Church, Ventnor Church, and Newfield Church while honoring each church’s size and culture.
    • Coach, develop, and set expectations for the leaders who run Kids, Students, and Young Adults at each church.
    • Standardize systems, scorecards, and rhythms so ministries can be measured, compared, and strengthened across locations.

    People & Volunteer Development

    • Build a strong volunteer pipeline—recruiting, training, and deploying leaders and Dream Teamers at every church. (This is the number ONE priority).
    • Hire, onboard, coach, and evaluate Next Gen staff, and create clear role expectations and succession paths.
    • Build a “farm team” of emerging leaders, interns, and young adults being developed for ministry.

    Safety & Care

    • Own Fusion’s safe-ministry standards, including background checks, ratios, check-in/out processes, and mandatory annual training for every department.
    • Serve as the escalation point for pastoral, parent, and incident concerns in Next Gen ministry.

    Family Discipleship

    • Equip and resource parents to be the primary spiritual leaders in the home through content, events, and take-home tools.
    • Create clear next steps for families at every stage—baby dedication, salvation, baptism, serving, and Connect Groups in coordination with the Location Kids Directors.
    • Build the bridge from Students into Young Adults so no one falls through the gap after high school.

    Innovation & Outreach

    • Continually innovate for relevance and impact, including church-wide events, seasonal experiences, and community outreach to families.
    • Collaborate with Creative, Communications, and Outreach to promote Next Gen ministries to the community.

    What you bring

The following describes many of the characteristics of the ideal candidate for the Executive Family Pastor:

    Education and Experience

    • 5-10 years of senior level leadership in children’s, student, or family ministry, with experience leading staff and volunteers (multisite experience strongly preferred).
    • Proven ability to lead leaders, build systems, and drive measurable results across more than one location.
    • Experience leading multiple age-group ministries, or the strategic capacity to oversee them.
    • Working knowledge of safe-ministry and child-protection best practices.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Familiarity with Planning Center, Basecamp, Google Suite, and industry best practices for Next Gen ministry.
    • Strong communicator and teacher who connects with kids, students, young adults, and parents.

    Personal Characteristics and Qualifications

    • Spiritual and emotional maturity aligned with Fusion Church’s vision, teaching, and culture.
    • Working Genius and Enneagram insights will be part of our interview process.

What it's like to live in Egg Harbor Township, NJ

Fusion Church is rooted in the Atlantic County communities of South Jersey, known locally as the "Shore." Our central location is in Egg Harbor Township (EHT), one of the fastest-growing communities in the county. It sits at the center of a cluster of towns, each with its own character: Ocean City, Linwood, Somers Point, Mays Landing, Galloway, and Absecon. Together they offer the range of a small-town and family-oriented community, with ocean and bay access and the energy of a regional hub. A great place to raise a family. EHT, Linwood, Absecon, and Galloway are largely suburban, with strong neighborhood identity, youth sports, and active school communities. Ocean City is a family- first beach town known for its boardwalk, beaches, and small-town feel.

For a pastor who will oversee ministry to children, students, and families, this is a community where family life is already a core value, and where there's a real opportunity to serve parents who are looking for community and spiritual direction. Few places let you live this close to the beach, the bay, the Pine Barrens, and the Great Egg Harbor River all at once. Residents spend their time on the boardwalk, on the water, at bayfront restaurants in Somers Point, on bike paths, in state parks and wildlife refuges, and at nearby farms and farmers' markets. Summers are vibrant. The rest of the year is quieter, with a strong sense of community. The area is also well connected: Atlantic City is about 15 to 20 minutes away, Philadelphia roughly an hour, and New York City and Washington, DC are reachable within a few hours. Atlantic City International Airport is located in EHT, and the Garden State Parkway and Atlantic City Expressway make travel simple.

Candidates can be close to family, conferences, and major cities while enjoying a lower-stress daily pace than the Philadelphia or North Jersey metros. Families have access to public schools, Christian and private options, Atlantic Cape Community College in Mays Landing, and Stockton University in Galloway. Regional healthcare is strong, with major medical centers in the area.

The community is diverse, with long-time locals, young families moving in, seasonal residents, and a hospitality and healthcare workforce. That variety shapes our churches. Many people here are unchurched or dechurched but open to a warm, welcoming community. For an Executive Family Pastor, that means a mission field with real opportunity to reach families and build a thriving multisite children's and student ministry.

While shore towns like Ocean City can be pricey, communities like EHT, Mays Landing, Galloway, and Absecon offer more attainable housing than much of New Jersey and the Northeast, which makes it realistic for a family to settle, buy a home, and put down roots.
