The Executive Steward oversees the efficient operation of the Stewarding Department, ensuring high standards of sanitation, optimal labor efficiency, and adherence to budgeted labor costs. This role directly impacts the cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency of all kitchen and stewarding areas. HOW YOU’LL SHAPE THE EXPERIENCE & FUTURE - Oversee daily operations of the Stewarding Department, including scheduling all stewards, pot washers, and night cleaners.
- Hire, train, coach, and conduct performance reviews of department staff in accordance with company standards.
- Ensure compliance with Health Department regulations and internal SOPs.
- Supervise the sanitation of kitchen, storerooms, hallways, docks, and equipment.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Director of Catering to anticipate equipment and supply needs.
- Order and manage inventory of cleaning compounds and conduct quarterly inventories of china, glass, linen, and silver.
- Design and implement daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules and schedule pest control visits.
- Monitor trash removal and coordinate all phases of Loss Prevention in stewarding areas.
- Reconcile quarterly cleaning expenses for rebate purposes.
- Other duties as assigned.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND - High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Additional training in hospitality operations, sanitation, or related fields is a plus.
