Position Overview

The Executive Vice President, Special Projects will lead cross-functional initiatives focused on improving operational efficiency, financial performance, and organizational effectiveness.This leader will work closely with senior leadership and local management teams to identify opportunities for improvement, strengthen accountability, and support sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead operational improvement and value-creation initiatives.
• Improve financial performance, profitability, and operational efficiency.
• Strengthen accountability, reporting, and performance management.
• Develop and implement scalable processes across multiple locations.
• Partner with leadership to identify and address key business challenges.
• Support organizational development, expansion, and integration efforts.
• Build strong relationships across leadership and frontline teams.
• Translate strategic priorities into measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10–20+ years of professional experience.
• Multiple meaningful operating leadership roles with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Experience owning or materially influencing a significant P&L.
• Experience operating within a private equity-backed portfolio company.
• Demonstrated success executing a value-creation or operational transformation plan.
• Experience improving an imperfect, founder-led, acquired, or underperforming business.
• Leadership experience within a field-based, technician-heavy, or frontline workforce.
• Experience operating across multiple branches, markets, or locations.
• Strong financial acumen with an understanding of P&L, EBITDA, margins, pricing, labor productivity, project profitability, forecasting, and cash flow.
• Demonstrated success implementing KPIs, operating cadence, and organizational accountability.
• Experience operating effectively with limited infrastructure and significant ambiguity.
• The ability to influence teams and drive change without relying solely on title or formal authority.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities combined with a bias toward execution.

Work Environment & Travel

This is a hands-on leadership position based in Louisville, Kentucky, with regular travel across regional operating locations.

Compensation

Base Salary: High-$100Ks

Bonus: Performance-based bonus targeting total annual cash compensation in the low-to-mid $200Ks.
