About the Role:
North Columbus Dental Partners LLP is looking for a skilled and motivated Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our growing team in Columbus, OH. Responsibilities:

• Perform expanded function duties including placing and finishing restorations under the supervision of a licensed dentist
• Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures including exams, extractions, and restorative treatments
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with safety protocols
• Apply cavity-preventive agents such as fluoride and sealants
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories between patient appointments
• Record patient medical histories, treatment notes, and updates in dental practice management software
• Educate patients on post-operative care and proper oral hygiene techniques

Requirements:

• Active Ohio EFDA certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
• Current Radiation Safety certification for dental radiography in Ohio
• CPR/BLS certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
• Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience preferred
• Familiarity with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar)
• Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach
