What You'll Do
As an Expeditor, you will be the critical link between the kitchen and front-of-house team, ensuring precision, efficiency, and flawless food presentation. Your mission is to coordinate the flow of dishes, ensure order accuracy, and maintain exceptional plating standards while keeping the kitchen and service teams aligned for a seamless dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the communication bridge between kitchen staff and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service
Review food tickets and coordinate the timing of dishes for accurate and efficient delivery
Inspect all plates for proper presentation, portioning, and quality before they leave the kitchen
Communicate with servers and food runners to ensure prompt and accurate order delivery
Maintain an organized expediting station, ensuring food items are properly arranged for efficient handoff
Work closely with chefs and cooks to ensure every dish meets our high-quality standards
Keep the expediting window clean, organized, and stocked with necessary tools and supplies
Assist in managing special requests, modifications, and dietary restrictions with accuracy
Maintain a sense of urgency and ensure orders are delivered in a timely manner
Support the kitchen team during peak service times to maintain a smooth workflow
What We're Looking For
Previous experience as an Expeditor, Food Runner, or similar role in a high-volume restaurant preferred
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate between FOH and BOH teams
High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and presentation
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining service flow
Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift to 25 lbs.
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-first mentality
