ExoTerra is a world leader in solar electric propulsion systems and space exploration satellites. The company develops Hall Thrusters, propulsion modules, microsatellites and launch vehicle upper stages. We have been awarded multiple propulsion module and satellite contracts.

Position Summary

The Expeditor serves as the tactical enabler on the shop floor, responsible for clearing bottlenecks and ensuring material, parts, and paperwork flow so production stays on schedule. This role is critical to maintaining operational efficiency by proactively tracking and resolving material shortages, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and supporting technicians with the resources they need to execute work orders.

Essential Functions:

• Track, chase, and move critical material and parts across receiving, stores, and the production floor
• Verify parts kits are complete, staged, and issued before work orders start
• Escalate shortages, non-conformances, and supplier delays to the Planner/Procurement team
• Follow up on purchase order status, supplier commits, and logistics updates
• Support technicians by resolving missing drawings, travelers, or tooling gaps
• Report daily readiness and shortages to Planners and Senior Operations Manager
• Reallocate available inventory across competing builds within Planner-approved priorities
• Request supplier expedite or alternate sourcing through Procurement

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant planning and manufacturing experience
• ERP system experience with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP)
• Strong leadership attributes and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
• Ability to quickly react to changes in a fast-paced environment
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office 365 suite
• Must be eligible to work in the US
• Candidates must comply with U.S. export control and ITAR requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Costpoint ERP experience
• Experience coordinating production workflow and staffing needs across multiple projects
• Experience with daily monitoring of production progress, identifying risks and providing solutions

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Compensation & Benefits

The good faith hourly range for this role is $23–$27/hour at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive. This range may be adjusted in the future.
