Caregiver Job Description
We want caregivers who are highly dependable and energetic with a desire to help people in a variety of situations. The ideal caregiver candidate is able to provide hands-on care to an elderly individual with special, non-medical needs in their home and is comfortable working with pets. Someone who is sensitive to the needs of our clients, pro-active, flexible and able to deal with changes in the schedule and a wide range of responsibilities.
Caregiver Responsibilities
- Ensure the client's well-being.
- Provide assistance with ADL's (such as bathing, dressing, toileting, etc.)
- Provide assistance with IADL's (such as meal prep, housekeeping, transportation,etc.)
- Medication reminders.
- Possible minor pet care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in client's home.
- Perform other basic caregiving services.

Caregiver Qualifications
- At least 1 year of paid verifiable caregiving experience (in-home care, facility, hospital, hospice, or similar) — Required.
- Ability to perform hands-on personal care (ie: bathing, toileting, transfers).
- Flexible to work weekends and/or holidays if needed
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and ready to make a difference in the lives of others
- Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Able to pass background check
- Prefer caregivers who are comfortable with pets.
