This role is responsible for performing routine field testing and documentation of construction materials to verify compliance with project plans and specifications. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, safety-focused, and capable of working effectively both independently and within a team environment.Compensation: $22-25/hour (based on experience and certifications)Location: West Valley City, UTFLSA Exemption: Non-ExemptSchedule: Hours may varyWhat you'll be doing:Perform routine field testing of construction materials to verify compliance with construction plans and specificationsConduct and document field tests including density, concrete, aggregate, and related materials testing proceduresPrepare accurate daily reports, field documentation, and datasheetsCommunicate testing results and project updates with supervisors and project teamsMaintain testing equipment and ensure proper calibration and functionalityFollow company safety procedures and industry testing standardsAssist with additional field or laboratory tasks as assigned by supervisorsWhat you have:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 2 years of construction materials testing experienceACI Field Grade I certificationSRDTT certificationWAQTC In-Place Density certificationAbility to pass a drug screeningAbility to lift up to 50 poundsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentFamiliarity with Microsoft Office applicationsClean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)Ability to obtain additional certifications as requiredWhat will make you stand out:Additional ICC, WAQTC, ACI, or UDOT certificationsExperience working on DOT, commercial, or heavy civil construction projectsStrong attention to detail and documentation accuracyAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionPreferred Certification(s):ACI Field Grade ISRDTTWAQTC In-Place DensityAdditional industry certifications are a plusCMT Technical Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
