Known for our dedicated advocacy and strategic client care, we are launching a dedicated Estate Planning Practice Division. We are seeking a seasoned, high-caliber Estate Planning Attorney to lead, build, and scale this practice area while delivering top-tier counsel to our growing clientele.
Position Summary
As the Lead Estate Planning Attorney, you will drive the growth and execution of our Estate Planning, Wills, Trusts, and Probate practice. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for an experienced legal professional who possesses strong technical expertise in wealth preservation and probate, paired with the entrepreneurial drive to manage and build out a division within a firm that has a strong market presence.
Job Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Counseling: Conduct comprehensive consultations with prospective and existing clients to assess legal needs, establish goals, and craft customized estate strategies.
Document Drafting & Review: Draft and review comprehensive estate planning documents, including revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, advance health care directives, and asset protection structures.
Probate & Trust Administration: Represent clients in probate proceedings, trust administration, conservatorships, and guardianship matters.
Practice Leadership & Growth: Collaborate with firm leadership to refine client intake protocols, optimize service delivery, and integrate cross-practice referrals from our existing litigation and family law client base.
Compliance & Excellence: Ensure all legal strategies and document templates align with current California laws, probate codes, and tax regulations.

Qualifications
Education & Bar Admissions: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active, in-good-standing membership in the State Bar of California (Required).
Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of dedicated experience handling complex estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters in California.
Technical Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of California Probate Code, trust taxation, real estate transfers, and wealth preservation strategies.
Client Care & Communication: Outstanding interpersonal skills with a proven track record of converting initial consultations into long-term client relationships.
Leadership: Strategic mindset with the ability to build, streamline, and mentor legal staff as the division expands.
